Why the 8-Yard Low Boy is Best for Salt Lake Projects
Tackling a heavy-duty project? Standard dumpsters aren't built for the weight of the earth. At Salt City Dumpsters, we offer specialized 8-Yard Low Boy Dumpsters designed specifically for the heaviest materials. These bins feature low walls for easy loading of dense debris and are built to handle the rigorous weight of Salt Lake’s demolition and excavation projects.

The "Low Boy Advantage
Why use an 8-yarder instead of a larger bin?
-
Safety & Compliance: Heavy materials like concrete weigh roughly 2,000 lbs per cubic yard. We use 8-yard bins to help ensure that we can sefely lift and haul the material.
-
Easy Loading: The "Low Boy" design means you don't have to heave heavy chunks over high walls. It’s easier on your back and your crew.
-
Driveway Placement & Protection: For heavy loads like concrete, dirt, or sod, we strongly recommend placing the 8-yard low boy in the street (with any required city permit) to minimize the risk of driveway damage from the concentrated weight. If driveway placement is necessary, we provide protective boards free of charge upon request—just let us know when booking, and we'll set them up for you!
Pro Tip for SLC Residents: Keeping your load "Clean" (just concrete or just dirt) can save you money on disposal fees! Mixed "dirty" loads often cost more at the landfill.
